Homemade Maple Syrup

Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:
4 cups white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 cups water
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp maple extract

Instructions:
1. Stir the sugar and water together in a medium, heavy-bottom sauce pan.
2. Cover and simmer for ten minutes at low heat.
3. Remove from heat and add vanilla and maple.

Notes: You can also add other flavorings. I sometimes replace the vanilla with 1/2 tsp cinnamon oil. Store leftover syrup in the fridge.
